Our Discretionary Grant Giving

Bill has conferred upon the Foundation’s managers the discretion to support organizations and causes not specifically allocable to any one or more of our six core categories. In this regard, the Foundation has established a “Discretionary Grant” category which includes, for example, organizations dealing with the needs of those living in undeveloped countries, with the preservation of internationally endangered species, and with legal aid for the indigent. Grants in this category are made with the expectation that, though not within his specifically stated sectors, they are consistent with Bill’s overall philanthropic objectives.
