Medic One Foundation
For nearly 50 years, the Medic One Paramedic Training Program has been Medic One Foundation’s funding priority. It is a key part of our work of improving pre-hospital emergency care.
Area of Impact
Donations from the William E. Wockner Foundation are being used to support the training of a student in Paramedic Training Class 50. Students in this class are currently immersed in the final phase of the 10-month training program, undergoing three separate levels of evaluation of their pre-hospital emergency skills. Class 50 will graduate in early July and return to their home departments to continue saving lives.
William E. Wockner's Impact
Because of the William E. Wockner Foundation’s support, Medic One’s paramedic students have experienced many unique training opportunities, including rotations in the emergency and operating rooms at Harborview and Children’s Hospital, ultra-realistic trauma drills in the field, hundreds of patient contacts, and over 300 hours of instruction from expert faculty and physicians. The students will soon take the National Registry Final Exam, which they have been studying for since April.
