About PeaceTrees Vietnam
PeaceTrees Vietnam’s Mission is to address the legacy of war by removing dangerous explosives, returning land to safe use, promoting peace, and cultivating a brighter future for the children and families of Vietnam.
Their Vision is a Vietnam completely cleared of dangerous unexploded ordnance and communities fully supported in their goals for safety, education, and economic success.
The Ban Chua Kindergarten Project
The construction of Ban Chua Kindergarten contributes to PeaceTrees Vietnam’s mission to address the legacy of the U.S.-Vietnam War by supporting communities impacted by war legacy issues with the resources and infrastructure to build a brighter future. As an education project, this kindergarten makes it possible for ethnic minority children in Ban Chua Village to attend kindergarten and learn Vietnamese before entering public primary school, which is taught entirely in Vietnamese. Because of the exposure to Vietnamese in kindergarten, students are more likely to have better educational outcomes in the future.
